This story, the way you packaged it, you have definitely experienced life as a Creative in Botswana. You had me wishing this was a novel that depicts the journey for on-goin months. I love that you chose this catering scenario to share some insight as it is a scenario that many in Botswana are more accustomed/familiar with (for lack of a better word).

One of many challenges that hinder the growth of the industry – many don’t take the time to learn, understand and appreciate the industry and it’s value; yet, they need services from it. I wish for better-approaching consumers.

I personally, as a Creative, have struggled to remain on one path for income as a result of such experience. I have come to learn to have multiple income streams but I am truly frustrated as I know I need to remain true and patient for my industry. For us to push against the odds, we, Creatives, need to find ways, stand firm and don’t give into these obstacles.
