The COVID-19 pandemic impacted heavily on the travel and tourism industry. Botswana relies enormously on tourism, as do many of the lodges/camps and travel operators. Global tourism organisations in general are encouraging would be travellers to reschedule rather than cancel their bookings.

As such YourBotswana decided to run a small social media campaign under the hashtag #botswanaiswaiting as a way of reminding those travellers that Botswana will be still be here, waiting for when travel resumes. This project had to be completed in a short space of time. I wanted to focus on the wildlife, landscapes and activities with an organic feel, which reflects the flora and fauna of the bush.
